Before founding the book publicity company Nissen Public Relations in 2000, Rob worked for several major publishers including Times Books/Random House, Simon & Schuster, and John Wiley & Sons where he promoted nonfiction titles in all categories and worked on numerous publicity and marketing campaigns. He also recently served as the head of publicity for the Business Plus imprint of Grand Central Publishing. Some of the many authors he has worked with include Tony Hsieh, Stanley Bing, Lois Frankel, Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K), Robert Sutton, Sanford Weill, Lou Dobbs, Michael Eric Dyson, John C. Maxwell, Liz Claman, John C. Bogle, John Dean, Harry Beckwith, Hank Paulson, and numerous business leaders, consultants, academics, CEOs, and more from all sides and perspectives. Focusing primarily on business, politics, workplace/careers, finance, and other areas of nonfiction Rob works in all areas of book and author publicity including online promotion, and with a wide range of print, radio, and television media. He has worked on publicity campaigns for many New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek bestselling books.
